Clinton Day - electric bass
Currently
I am the bassist for the Mic Gillette Band,
one of the funnest and hippest band I've ever been in! Hear some audio here.
I'm also really enjoying playing with Coyote
Hill, a bluegrass, folk and American music group from the Gold Country.
The electric bass really adds a unique element to this predominantly acoustic
band. The music really has a great feel and its own brand of swing!
I am also the bassist for Jana Evans and Spectrum, an R&B, jazz and rock band in Tuolumne County, Jim Anderson and the Waterfall Trio, and the Columbia College Jazz Concerts Series.
I began
studying music at Columbia College in California in 1982 under Dr. Rod
Harris. I finished my studies at San Jose
State University
in California,
receiving my Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1987, and earning my Master of Arts
Degree in 1990.
I've been primarily a bassist for the last 25 years, but am also a jazz
pianist, arranger and vocalist.
Specialty
Jazz
and funk electric bass, original arrangements and improvisation in small
